What Is A Guardian Home & How Do I Apply?

Guardian homes allow us to continue to better our breeding practices and expand our program without sacrificing the happiness and need for love from our dogs. Becoming a guardian home allows you the opportunity to have one of our puppies as a family pet while he or she remains in our breeding program at a greatly reduced cost (later refunded). As a guardian home, you are the primary home for one of our breeding dogs while they are enrolled in the guardianship program. Once they are retired, the dog is spayed/neutered at our expense and is now your family's full-owned fur-baby!

The cost of becoming a guardian home includes a $500 refundable deposit, which is returned to you once the dog has retired from the program. Guardians are responsible for all “regular” dog care including providing food, treats, toys, etc. The dog must be kept up-to-date on all vaccines and monthly preventions at guardian's expense. 

Peach State Goldens maintains responsibility of all breeding-related expenses, including health and genetic testing. 

*Guardians are responsible for all transportation to and from Peach State Goldens for appointments, breedings, ultrasounds, puppy delivery, and other breeding-related events*

-Pet insurance is required, through Fetch Pet Insurance, during the duration of enrollment in the guardian program at the expense of the guardian 

-Ability to bring the dog to and from the breeder within 24-72 hour notice

-Be able to communicate, cooperate, and coordinate with the breeder effectively

-Feed a pre-approved dog food while enrollment is active

-Live within 2 hours from Peach State Goldens

-You are getting a "pick of the litter" puppy at a greatly reduced cost

-All of the health testing and/or stud fees for the female and her puppies are exclusively at the expense of Peach State Goldens

-Families are allowed to visit their female and her puppies starting at 4 weeks of age

-The breeder pays for spay or neuter once the dog is retired from the guardianship program

-Knowing your canine companion is contributing to blessing families all over the country!

**Peach State Goldens will retain breeding rights for the length of the Guardian Home contract or as the dog's health allows**
